Molly came to play

On Friday night, our friends Milton & Liz came into town with 4 of their 5 children, Cody, Peyton, Linden, and Molly.
Molly is about 3 weeks younger than Jacob.
Here are some pictures of their visit.
Everytime I tried to take a picture of the two of them together, Molly would start crying, as soon as she stopped craying, Jacob would start crying.

Here they are playing on their bellies

Da Da

While I was taking his 5 month pictures with Pluto, Lance walked in and took the camera from me. I was trying to get Jacob to stand up for a picture and in the process in said "Da Da".
Lance & I both stopped and looked at each other to make sure we heard him correctly.
Of course, we couldn't get him to say it again. But this morning, Lance was changing his diaper then told me to finish, Lance walked out of the room and Jacob said Da Da again.

A few more shots from the photo session - although he got restless and it didn't last very long.

5 months

Jacob turned 5 months last Sunday (7/16/06). On Friday night, I finally got around to taking his 5 month pictures. My mom (Nonna) found this cute little outfit - we love it. Thanks for the outfit Nonna.

First Race

We had a really great time in Virgina.
Thanks to Bill, Heather, & Noah for everything - letting us stay at your house, picking us up from the airport, taking care of Jake while Lance & I were both sick.

Saturday night is race night.
We all wore our "Bran the Man" shirts although Brandon didn't race that night. Tom Erickson was in town, so he drove both the cars that night.

Here's Jake at his first race!!

Shortly after this picture, this is what happened .....

They told me that if he can sleep through the races as a baby, he'll always be a race fan.

Here's a pic of Lilly I took as they were getting their faces painted.

Here's EVA

And this is what he did though most of the races.

First Flight

On June 30th, Jake took his first flight. We went to Lance's brother's house in Gloucester, Virginia for the 4th of July weekend.
I actually packed the cameras on the flight there, so we took some pictures on the flight home.
On the flight there, Jake was really good. He laughed and played the entire flights.
After our lay over in Atlanta, we got on the plane and we were sitting on the runway (waiting for our turn) when Jake decided to give us a present. I had to wait until we were in the air to get up and go to the bathroom. It's not easy for a normal person to use the bathroom in that small of a space, imagine changing a diaper in that space.
After I got him all cleaned & was about to put his diaper on, Jake started to tinkle all over me, himself, the bathroom, the floor. I immediately put the clean diaper over him to try and stop it from going everywhere else - the only diaper I had brought with me.
There was nothing I could do at this point, but open the door (as I'm squatting on the floor) and lean out looking for a flight attendant. This really nice guy in first class asked what I needed, he went and found Lance and told him that he needed a diaper - imagine the shock on Lance's face.
I tried to clean some of the tinkle off my jeans - so one entire leg was wet from top to bottom. Everyone in the front of the plane was laughing WITH me as we walked back to our seats.
We decided that we would never fly coach with infant in arms again - so we upgraged to first class on the flight home. It was nice to have more space but on the first leg, it was Jake's bedtime. I felt so bad for the other people on the flight - he wouldn't stop screaming. He finally passed out and slept on the last leg home.

Here's a picture of them looking out of the window

Daddy's Home Again

Lance came home June 27th and hopefully will stay home for a long time.
He currently has no plans of leaving for another job.

Sophia turned TWO

Saturday (June 24th), Sophia turned TWO.
She had her birthday party at Blu Rabbit. We had a really great time although Jacob just either slept, ate, or cried the entire time.
Because of that, I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures, but here are a couple of the best ones.

06.22.06

Yesterday was the first day of summer and the last day we have a babysitter (at least until the first of July). So, today Jacob came to work with me - not a good day - he HATES being stuck in my little office all day. Nothing made him happy.
After work, we went by babies r us and I put him in a walker in the store. He pratically ran down the aisle (going forward) and he was laughing.
Here are some naked pictures of him playing in the walker at home.

More Pictures

Here are few pictures of this past week.

4 months

Last week Jacob turned 4 months.
Here are his 4 month progression pictures.

Also, on the trip home from Nonna & Pop's house on Sunday - Jacob held his bottle by himself!!This wasn't the best picture, but I didn't know he would hold it until the very end.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Unfortunately, Lance is away working on the road.
We MISS daddy so much and can't wait for him to come home.
For Father's Day, we spent the day with my father (Pop).
Uncle Ted came over on his new Harley - we just had to get some pictures of Jacob on the motorcycle.

Slumber Party at Nonna & Pop's House

Saturday, Jacob & I went with Nonna to their house in Wiggins.
Karrie & Sophia met us there and we all stayed the night at Nonna & Pop's House.
Saturday evening Jacob & Sophia got in the little pool they had for them. Here is a picture of Sophia, but Nonna took the pictures of Jacob and I need her to email me some of those pictures (hint - hint)

Nonna & Jacob

Eating from a spoon

Friday night, I started Jacob on cereal.
He was so cute and ate it from the spoon really well. We can't wait to start fruits & veggies.

Okay, enough is enough

Sitting up

Friday, Jacob turned 4 months on Friday.
Wednesday morning we had his 4 month check-up and the doctor told us we could start Jacob on solids!!! She also told us that babies normally start sitting up on their own around 6 months. Friday evening (see pictures below), Jacob started sitting up on his own - without any support and for longer than a few seconds. He doesn't want to lay down EVER!!! If you hold his hands, he pulls up either to a sitting or standing position.

New Tricks all the time!!

Friday, May 25th, Jacob & I were laying on the floor playing.
Jacob has been trying for about 3 weeks to roll over he just couldn't get his arm repositioned correctly. As we were playing Friday night, he completely rolled over from his back to his tummy - he propped himself up on his arms and looked at me with a proud "look at what I can do" look on his face. I didn't think he would be able to do it again (so quickly), but I flipped him onto his back and got out the video camera. He rolled over 2 more times in a row. I have it on video, but haven't downloaded it yet. But here are pictures of him after his rolled over.

3 Months

Okay, Jacob turned 3 Months on May 16th - that was the week I was sick, so I forgot to take his 3 Month progression pictures with Pluto. So, on Sunday May 21th, I took the pictures.
Here are some of my favorites.
Check out his chubby little legs!!!

Jacob wore this outfit for his FIRST pictures taken in the hospital. Look at the difference 3 months makes.
