Molly came to play

On Friday night, our friends Milton & Liz came into town with 4 of their 5 children, Cody, Peyton, Linden, and Molly.
Molly is about 3 weeks younger than Jacob.
Here are some pictures of their visit.
Everytime I tried to take a picture of the two of them together, Molly would start crying, as soon as she stopped craying, Jacob would start crying.

Here they are playing on their bellies

Da Da

While I was taking his 5 month pictures with Pluto, Lance walked in and took the camera from me. I was trying to get Jacob to stand up for a picture and in the process in said "Da Da".
Lance & I both stopped and looked at each other to make sure we heard him correctly.
Of course, we couldn't get him to say it again. But this morning, Lance was changing his diaper then told me to finish, Lance walked out of the room and Jacob said Da Da again.

A few more shots from the photo session - although he got restless and it didn't last very long.

5 months

Jacob turned 5 months last Sunday (7/16/06). On Friday night, I finally got around to taking his 5 month pictures. My mom (Nonna) found this cute little outfit - we love it. Thanks for the outfit Nonna.

First Race

We had a really great time in Virgina.
Thanks to Bill, Heather, & Noah for everything - letting us stay at your house, picking us up from the airport, taking care of Jake while Lance & I were both sick.

Saturday night is race night.
We all wore our "Bran the Man" shirts although Brandon didn't race that night. Tom Erickson was in town, so he drove both the cars that night.

Here's Jake at his first race!!

Shortly after this picture, this is what happened .....

They told me that if he can sleep through the races as a baby, he'll always be a race fan.

Here's a pic of Lilly I took as they were getting their faces painted.

Here's EVA

And this is what he did though most of the races.

First Flight

On June 30th, Jake took his first flight. We went to Lance's brother's house in Gloucester, Virginia for the 4th of July weekend.
I actually packed the cameras on the flight there, so we took some pictures on the flight home.
On the flight there, Jake was really good. He laughed and played the entire flights.
After our lay over in Atlanta, we got on the plane and we were sitting on the runway (waiting for our turn) when Jake decided to give us a present. I had to wait until we were in the air to get up and go to the bathroom. It's not easy for a normal person to use the bathroom in that small of a space, imagine changing a diaper in that space.
After I got him all cleaned & was about to put his diaper on, Jake started to tinkle all over me, himself, the bathroom, the floor. I immediately put the clean diaper over him to try and stop it from going everywhere else - the only diaper I had brought with me.
There was nothing I could do at this point, but open the door (as I'm squatting on the floor) and lean out looking for a flight attendant. This really nice guy in first class asked what I needed, he went and found Lance and told him that he needed a diaper - imagine the shock on Lance's face.
I tried to clean some of the tinkle off my jeans - so one entire leg was wet from top to bottom. Everyone in the front of the plane was laughing WITH me as we walked back to our seats.
We decided that we would never fly coach with infant in arms again - so we upgraged to first class on the flight home. It was nice to have more space but on the first leg, it was Jake's bedtime. I felt so bad for the other people on the flight - he wouldn't stop screaming. He finally passed out and slept on the last leg home.

Here's a picture of them looking out of the window

Daddy's Home Again

Lance came home June 27th and hopefully will stay home for a long time.
He currently has no plans of leaving for another job.
