The Strawberry Classic

Yes, it's that time again....
Racing Season
And, every day, Jacob says "I want to go to the races tonight"

Easter Weekend was also the weekend of the Strawberry Classic at our local race track.
We had a great time at the races.

Because it was Easter weekend, the Easter bunny was there on Saturday night

Addison loved the Easter bunny (Jacob - he was more concerned with the races)

When the Easter bunny came through the crowd, Addison had to chase after it

Addison & I followed the Easter bunny everywhere.

But every time he turned around, Addison would start crying.

We just did the "The Biggest Loser" contest at work, and I came in 2nd place losing over 10% - over 17 pounds.

I've been avoiding the camera recently, so I'm only going to post a recent AFTER picture.

I still have about 8-10 more pounds to go, but I'm excited

The Girls!! Part 3 - Extreme Home Makeover

Or in our case, Extreme Playhouse Makeover

The last time the girls were at our house was for our wedding in 2004!!

So, like last time, it was time to give the playhouse a good cleaning so they could play in it.

Addison & Jacob loved helping clean.

Jacob got soaking wet - and took off all his clothes (he didn't like the wet clothes)

The Girls are Here!! Part 1 - Aquarium

Our niece, Tosh, & her daughters, Gerika, June, Elsie & Eva,

drove down from PA for spring break.
They drove to FL to visit with Egg & family first.

They were only here for 2 nights but we had the best time.

Jacob keeps asking "where are the girls - I want to play with the girls"

On Friday, March 13th, we went to New Orleans to see Lance

We went to the aquarium that morning (while Lance slept - he was working night shift)

Mardi Gras Day (at the Zoo)

On Monday evening before Mardi Gras, we decided to go to our "first" (first for the kids) Mobile Mardi Gras parade. I took my little camera and haven't downloaded those pictures yet - I'll post later

We were trying to decide if we wanted to go to the parades on Fat Tuesday

The kids really loved the parade, but one was enough for us this year.

We had decided to go to the Zoo - which we had plans to go to the New Orleans Zoo, but my friend, Ben (& family) told us about the FL Northwest Zoo and how wonderful it is.

Good thing - I later found out that the New Orleans Zoo is closed on Fat Tuesday (imagine that)

The NW FL Zoo - a little small - but we still had a good time.
