If you haven't noticed, our son, Jacob, is very serious about his food (like his daddy).
He doesn't normally try to feed himself (except snacks) because he wants to make sure it gets to his mouth and not on the floor. But, last week, I cooked a lasagna (in case anyone was wondering - it was as good - if not better - as nonna's - sorry mom - but I'm getting really good at this).

I cut it up into bite size pieces on a plate with some peas.
Jacob fed himself and loved it. And, the majority of it did go into his mouth. The rest, in his hair, on his face, on the floor (which Abby ate), in the chair, in his diaper, etc.
